What Michigan roads do to a BMW
Michigan roads aren't the Autobahn. Road salt, freeze-thaw potholes and gravel shoulders take a toll on any car. They are especially rough on the low front splitters and side skirts common on M-series and performance trims.
We're an authorized installer for Autobahn Performance Films. The shared name is a coincidence. It's the film we spec for most BMW front-end and full-body packages.
Track-day drivers and daily commuters get the same process. We correct swirl marks before anything is sealed under a coating, then install PPF, ceramic coating, or both, depending on how the car is used.

Will PPF change how the M-series aero pieces or gloss black trim look?
No. We pre-cut the film to match body lines. We can run gloss or matte depending on the finish you want, including matte film to match factory matte trim.
Do you correct swirls before coating, or just coat over them?
We correct first, every time. A coating locks in whatever is on the paint when it goes down, so we assess and correct before any coating touches the car.
How long does a BMW ceramic coating hold up through a Michigan winter?
DYNFX backs Leicht for 3 years and Keramik X for 5, with annual maintenance included to inspect and refresh the coating. Road salt is the kind of contact a ceramic coating is built to resist.
