The deepest gloss your paint has had since it left the factory — and the foundation of every coating we install. Performed by hand in our Livonia studio.
Every painted surface gathers damage. Swirl marks from automatic car washes. Holograms from rotary buffers in someone else's hands. Etching from bird droppings and tree sap. Water spots from hard well water. Micro-marring from drying towels. Dealer prep scratches that were there before you ever drove the car off the lot.
None of it polishes off with wax. None of it disappears in a detail spray. The light still catches it. The depth is gone.
Paint correction is the process of mechanically refining your clear coat — leveling defects to restore the optical clarity and gloss the paint was built to have. Done right, it's the closest your finish gets to factory-new without repaint. Done wrong, it removes too much clear coat, leaves holograms, or hides flaws under a glaze that washes off in a month.
We measure. We test. We work in passes. The goal is the right amount of correction for your paint's condition — not the maximum amount possible.
Single-stage refinement for daily drivers and lighter swirl marks.
Two-stage correction for well-kept enthusiast cars or moderate defects.
Multi-stage work for show cars, concours prep, or coating foundation on collector vehicles.
Every panel has a finite amount of clear coat. Aggressive correction removes some of it — that's the trade-off of the process — and once it's gone, it's gone. Cheaper shops skip the measurement and chase the most aggressive pass that "looks good today." We don't.
Every correction starts with a paint thickness reading across the vehicle. We identify hot spots, panels that have been resprayed, and areas where clear coat is already thin from prior polishing.
We test on an inconspicuous section to find the lightest combination of pad and compound that gets the defects out. Then we work in panels, under multiple light sources, until the paint is right.
If your paint won't take aggressive correction, we'll tell you. If a milder tier will get 90% of the result, we'll recommend it. We won't sell you correction your paint can't afford.
Authorized installer for Autobahn Performance Films. BBB-accredited business. Every correction service backed directly by DYNFX, with documentation provided for ceramic coating prep.
Correction restores your paint. A ceramic coating or PPF locks it in. Without protection, swirls return as the car cycles through its first washes. Layered over fresh correction, a ceramic coating holds the work — our Leicht package for 3 years, Keramik X for 5.
Every ceramic coating we install includes the level of correction your paint needs — no separate booking. If you want correction now and protection later, we'll document the work so any future coating bonds to the same surface we corrected.
We'll assess the paint and recommend the right tier — most quotes come back the same day.
